History
The store has been around for absolutly ages passing through different hands along the way. Originally built by Frank Seavey in 1890 for $600 it was a boarding house and grain supply shop then in the fifties it belonged to newly created franchised grocery store idea. Then in the seventies several families came and went until Elizabeth Evans purchased it in 2006. It had been closed for nearly 2 years and so we had a bit of work to do to bring it back alive. With the help and support of the village we painted, planted restocked and fixed her back up to what you see today. Our concept was to retain the charm of the countryside but still have the sophistication of the city. We live and work here and have steadily rebuilt the stores reputation as a great place to visit while in Boothbay. We hope you like it.
