County Jail is operated by the Facilities Department, which is administered by the government of Cumberland County in Maine. The Facilities Department is responsible for the maintenance and supervision of county-owned buildings. It preserves and maintains public structures and systems. The department manages and operates county courthouse and law enforcement and community correction centers. The Facilities Department handles more than 450,000 square feet of building space, including bathroom fixtures, doors and windows. It is also responsible for the maintenance and care of county government-owned equipment and vehicles. The Facilities Department additionally operates the Cumberland County Emergency Management Agency and Cumberland County Emergency Management Agency.
