Established in 1992 by entrepreneur Fred Forsley and master brewer Alan Pugsley, the Kennebunkport Brewing Company (KBC) and Federal Jack's quickly gained popularity throughout Maine, leading to the expansion of Shipyard Brewing Company in Portland, Maine in 1994. With a rich history rooted in the 19th century shipyards of Kennebunk, KBC continues to brew classic English-style ales, such as Goat Island Light, Shipyard Export Ale, Taint Town Tramadol Extra Pale, and Bluefin Stout, while also introducing new and innovative offerings to their draft list.
