LPB also known as Louisiana Public Broadcasting and is located in Baton Rouge, La. It was established in 1971 by the Louisiana legislature. It has license from the Louisiana Educational Television Authority. It has broadcast stations in Alexandria, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Shreveport, Monroe and Baton Rouge, La. Its staff includes an executive producer, television and technology director, programming director, Web administrator, promotions manager and director of engineering. LPB broadcasts a wide variety of programs, such as Washing Away Losing Louisiana, American Creole New Orleans Reunion, Facts on Fire, Young Heroes, Living with Cancer and American Apartheid. It additionally provides instructional television program for students in grades kindergarten through 12 and its programs are accompanied by teacher guides, which provide lesson plans and discussion questions. LPB has advance technical facilities to produce and broadcast the programs.
