HistoryFounded in September 2009 by three Bourbon enthusiasts. In 2012 Whiskey University began teaching formal classes but in those days it was simply Whiskey 101, Bourbon 201 and the nine major Bourbon Distilleries each had a Tasting Class. In 2016 Whiskey University began offering Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees based on the number of courses and tasting each member had taken. Now the staff of 250 Certified Instructors that teach over 100 Tasting Classes about Bourbon and Whiskey.SpecialtiesWhiskey University teaches public classes throughout the country at Restaurants, Bars, Country Clubs, Distillery locations, Liquor Stores, Casinos, Lodges and Assisted Living Facilities. We also teach private classes for hire at parties, events or shows. Our sole mission is to educate the public about the history and virtues of bourbon and various whiskey.
