Founded in 1850, Raceland Raw Sugars, Corp. is a producer of sugar, molasses and syrup. It offers production of more than 15,000 tons of cane per day. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of M. A. Patout & Son, which produces invert syrup. The parent company features machine shops that provide factory repair, reshelling and grooving services. It operates cane diffusers in North America and provides railroad, truck and barge shipping options. M. A. Patout & Son operates various factories that have a processing capacity of over 22,000 tons cane per day and nearly 4,600,000 tons canes annually.
