J&M Industries, Inc. was started in February, 1973 in a garage in New Orleans, La. by Maurice Gaudet, III. After just two short years the Company moved into larger facilities in the wharf district of New Orleans. Continued growth led to the 1992 construction of a new 80,000 square-foot manufacturing facility in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, and subsequent additions over several years added another 80,000 square feet. We also added a 28,000 square-foot distribution center in Rayne, Louisiana. In 2015, J & M built a beautiful, state-of-the-art building measuring 120,000 square feet. The addition of this clear-span facility allowed J & M Industries' subsidiary, JMI Covers, L.L.C., to expand its tarp-building capabilities, create custom covers and manufacture the highest quality products for our customers.
