Napoleonville Volunteer Fire Department (NVFD) is a non-profit, completely volunteer fire department located in Napoleonville, LA. With over 30 dedicated volunteers, NVFD provides fire protection suppression and rescue medical services for over 5000 citizens living within the village limits of Napoleonville and the surrounding fire protection territory. Equipped with a fleet of five engines, one aerial, and one rescue truck, NVFD is committed to protecting life and property by providing effective public education, fire prevention, and emergency services. Established in 1878, NVFD has a long rich history and has worked tirelessly to lower their fire insurance rating, boasting a PIAL protection class three rating within the incorporated village limits of Napoleonville and a class four rating in their surrounding fire protection territory. With three stations, including a newly remodeled main station, NVFD also has Mutual Aid Agreements with neighboring fire departments to further strengthen the emergency services available to the citizens of Assumption parish.
