Nu-Lite became involved in its first major construction job by supplying the lighting fixtures for the Harvey tunnel in New Orleans. The electrical wholesale company offers a variety of commercial, industrial, marine, automation and data products. It has distributed Square D equipment since its inception; and over time, Nu-Lite became the largest Square D distributor in Louisiana. In 1985, Nu-Lite joined Southern Independent Electrical Distributors, an organization that would become THE IMARK GROUP. This member owned network of distributors has approximately 900 locations throughout the United States. Headquartered in Harahan, La., Nu-Lite was established in 1950. Nu-Lite also maintains four branch stores throughout the New Orleans metropolitan area.
