History
KEDM was founded in the late 1980's when a group of citizens came together and began raising funds for a local NPR affiliate. Northeast Louisiana University President Dwight Vines agreed to host and sponsor the station, and volunteers raised money for matching grants. Today, the station serves a potential audience of over 300.000 with NPR News, Classical and Jazz.
