The Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities, also known as OCDD, serves individuals with intellectual and physical impairments. The office administers an individual and family support program that includes respite care, personal assistance, dental and medical services. Its cash subsidy program provides monthly stipend to the families of eligible children with severe disabilities. The Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities EarlySteps program includes occupational, physical and speech therapies. The office operates more than five supports and services centers. Its psychiatric services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities is a part of the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.
