The Louisiana Department of Social Services is a state government agency that provides financial assistance and social services for the citizens of Louisiana, and for rehabilitating persons with disabilities. Its services include children s support programs, adoption services, vocational rehabilitation, food stamps, child welfare services, cash assistance and services for visually impaired individuals. The department is composed of the Executive Office of the Secretary, which includes Louisiana Rehabilitation Services; the Office of Management and Finance; the Office of Family Support; and the Office of Community Services. The Louisiana Department of Social Services has headquarters in the A. Z. Young Building in Baton Rouge, La.
