History
Brown Butter Restaurant is a collaborative effort of it's founders, Chef Dayne Womax and Simon Beck. We are locally owned and operated and have a combined 30 years in the restaurant industry. After working for years at several different establishments, we decided that it was time to combine our efforts and talents and make a go of it on our own. We will create food that is creative yet steeped in Southern history and tradition using the freshest, seasonal, local ingredients that the American South has to offer. Food that is both thought provoking and consistently delicious, served in a cozy atmosphere with prompt and proper service. Our bar selection boasts delicious original cocktails, micro brewed beers and house made sodas. We are Brown Butter Restaurant and our goal is to treat the New Orleans area, not just to the Cajun and Creole cuisine that our area is known for, but rather a culinary experience of our Southern United States. Our goal is to challenge your palate with new and exciting flavors while anchoring our ingredients in the comforting and familiar.
