About Jeremy Welch Jeremy Welch, State General Agent in Arkansas and Louisiana with American Income Life, is just beginning. "I have obviously already had a certain degree of success, just to be in the position of SGA," says Jeremy. "However, I do not feel that I have arrived. I am embarking on my tenth year with AIL, and I feel as though I am just getting started." This UNC-Chapel Hill graduate joined American Income Life Insurance Company right out of college, where he studied business. "I worked all sorts of odd jobs, even painting houses during the summer to make money for tuition." But hard work was no stranger to Jeremy. "Growing up on a farm, I saw my dad and grandfather work very hard. And while I'm glad they taught me the ethics of hard work at an early age, I am happy I found a Company where it is my option, and not my requirement, to work hard for the rest of my life. After just 10 years with AIL, I have the option to walk away and still receive renewals for the rest of my life. I don't know of any other place I could do that." Although it was AIL's renewal system that originally attracted Jeremy to American Income Life, it's his belief in the products and his personal experience that sealed the deal. "One of the reasons why I have conviction about what I do is because my father passed away from cancer when I was nine years old. My mother raised both me and my brother while working in a factory making seven dollars an hour. If my father had not had life insurance, it would have been very difficult for me and my brother to afford college. I can only imagine where I would be right now had my father not been covered. Because of this, I feel very strongly about helping other families be protected." What Jeremy has found most rewarding about American Income Life is the satisfaction of seeing friends and associates come into the Company from different backgrounds and change their lives financially. "I remember seeing the satisfaction on the face of one of my Agents when he was able to buy his first home. It's a great feeling knowing I was able to help someone achieve a long-term goal." There is no doubt in Jeremy's mind he's in the right place. "I remember I took a trip to Maui for a week about a year after I started with AIL. When I got back, I received $8,000 because of the hard work my team had put in. It's a wonderful feeling knowing the investment of my time with AIL was paying off in a big way." Jeremy would definitely advise new Agents to spend as much time as possible with their SGA or top Managers to learn as much as they can from them. It pays off! Jeremy is a huge college basketball fan. "I have a tremendous respect for the amount of work the players put in to be successful at that level."
