The Kentucky Race Track Chaplaincy is a non-profit interdenominational organization that has been providing spiritual support and guidance to the horse racing community for over 50 years. With chaplains serving at major race tracks in Kentucky and Ohio, as well as thoroughbred training centers, the ministry offers a ministry of presence to jockeys, trainers, and other members of the racing industry. Led by dedicated staff and supported by sponsors and partners, the chaplaincy aims to make a positive impact on the lives of those involved in the racing world. Founded in 1972, the Race Track Chaplaincy of America's Kentucky division was established in 1989 to cater specifically to the needs of the Kentucky racing community. Hall of Fame Jockey, Pat Day, who had a successful career as a thoroughbred jockey, describes his work with the chaplaincy as more rewarding and fulfilling than his time on the track.
