Troy K. Takagishi, M.D., specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of arthritis, autoimmune diseases and osteoporosis. He earned his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Medical Center, where he also completed his residency training in internal medicine and pediatrics. In 2009, Dr. Takagishi also completed a fellowship in rheumatology at Loyola University Chicago Medical Center. Dr. Takagishi treats osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, lupus, gout, psoriatic arthritis, spondyloarthropathies, vasculitis and other rheumatic conditions. His treatment approach consists of pharmacologic therapies, including state-of-the-art injection and infusion treatments, and various nonpharmacologic therapies, such as a well-coordinated physiotherapy program. Also, Dr. Takagishi performs joint aspirations and cortisone injections that can aid in the diagnosis and management of various forms of arthritis. Dr. Takagishi’s mission is to provide a personal and caring atmosphere while respecting each individual’s unique health concerns. His goal is to promote good health as well as to alleviate and prevent the pain and disability that often are associated with many rheumatologic diseases and to improve patients’ quality of life. Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Takagishi enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, backpacking and fly fishing.
