Located in Louisville, Ky., Saint Xavier High School is a private, Catholic high school for young men in grades nine through 12. Founded in 1864, the school serves more than 1,400 students and is sponsored by the Xaverian Brothers. It offers advanced placement courses in art, biology, calculus, chemistry, computer science, English, European history, French, German, music theory and Spanish. The high school provides various facilities, such as science laboratories, a cafeteria, recitation rooms, library and gymnasium. The campus store provides various products, including T-shirts, shorts, caps, sweatshirts, jackets and specialty items. The school provides various athletic activities, including baseball, basketball, ice hockey, powerlifting, volleyball, lacrosse, cross country, track, football, golf, soccer, cheerleading, wrestling, tennis and swimming. Saint Xavier High School is approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Kentucky Department of Education and is a member of the National Association of College Admissions Counselors.
