History
We believe the rock cabins were built in the late 20's or early 30's by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The campground was added some time later. The Cabins were hand built with local stones. they have been renovated several times. We are in the process of restoring them to their original beauty and charm.

Rock Cabin Camping has 9 cozy stone cabins, sheltered among large oak trees. Built in 1928, these historic cabins have been restored to offer a comfortable place to stay on your visit to the Mammoth Cave area. If you're driving an RV, we can also accommodate you with full hookups in our campground. Our cabins range in size from three rooms, complete with kitchen and room for 6 adults. We have a cabin with a nice kitchenette. And we have several cabins perfect for 2 people. All cabins have air conditioning, microwave, refrigerator and DISH Network TV. Rock Cabin Camping is the closest lodging facility to Mammoth Cave National Park - less than 10 minutes to the visitor center - but is also convenient to all the great activities available in Cave City. We're located 4 miles west of I-65 (Exit 53) on US Highway 70, which puts us just minutes from amusement parks, horseback riding, miniature golf, hiking, museums, and much more.
