WLAP is one of the more than 1,200 locally owned and programmed radio stations operated by Clear Channel Radio, a division of Clear Channel Communications. Tuned to 630 on the AM dial in Lexington, Ky., WLAP features a news/talk radio format. The station provides national news; local news, with a focus on central Kentucky; entertainment news; and traffic updates, as well as sports with special attention to University of Kentucky athletics. It also has nationally syndicated programming hosted by radio personalities, such as Rush Limbaugh, as well as sports radio call-in shows. Clear Channel Radio is headquartered in San Antonio and reaches more than 110 million listeners throughout the United States.
