Childplace Family Services
Childplace, founded in 1967, is an agency providing services to destitute and abandoned children. It offers domestic and international adoption services, and conducts home studies and post-placement supervisory reports in the states of Kentucky and Indiana. The agency s adoption services include pre- and post-placement counseling, medical and legal services, and housing facilities. It provides pregnancy counseling services to women facing unplanned pregnancies. It additionally offers foster care services, and provides individual and family therapy, group therapy, psychological evaluation, drug and alcohol assessment, and psychiatric support. The agency offers maternity care and transitional living services for teens and young mothers. Its residential treatment program uses specialized therapeutic care to serve children with various types of problems. Childplace is located in Jeffersonville, Ind., and is a member of Kentucky Adoption Coalition and the National Council for Adoption.
