In addition to servicing insurance companies, we also handle claims for the self-insured industry. We are the Third Party Administrators (TPA) for the automobile liability account for the Jefferson County Public School System and for some other smaller counties in Kentucky. Since July 2001 we have been handling field assignments for Underwriters Safety and Claims on the Kentucky Association of Counties account. One of our proudest achievements is the the over 22, 000 claims we handled for International Surplus Lines (part of the Crum and Forster Group) when there was an urban sewer explosion in Louisville, Kentucky, probably the largest single claim that has occurred in the State of Kentucky. To handle this loss, a separate claims office was set up for nine months. Our staff is comprised of highly qualified personnel with many years of experience handling complex casualty, property and workers' comp losses. In addition to adjusting services, we offer a full range of appraisal services to include automobiles, trucks, boats and heavy equipment. One of our main strengths is in the area of large commercial losses. In the past five years, we have been the lead adjuster on a $10 million loss, a $7 million loss and several losses over $1 million. Our adjusters handle claims using state of the art technology available to the insurance industry. The automobile appraisals are prepared using the CCC Estimating System and the truck and heavy equipment appraisals are prepared using Mitchell TruckEst.
