The St. Matthews Fire Protection District works to protect the lives, property and environment from the threats and occurrences of emergencies. It offers fire suppression, hazardous materials mitigation and emergency medical services. The department provides services that include fire prevention, business inspection, and search and rescue. The St. Matthews Fire Department offers public education related to fire safety and emergency medical services.
