Louisville Metro Housing Authority, also known as LMHA, is a nonprofit agency that offers assistance services for residents. The agency focuses on the development and management of federally subsidized low-rent housing in the Louisville Metro area. It operates The Village of Park DuValle, which is a mixed-income community that is comprised of more than 1,000 rental units and single-family homes. The Authority has partnerships with the Clarksdale Neighborhood Advisory Council, Smoketown and Shelby Park Resident Councils, area businesses, and civic and community organizations. It staffs over 300 employees and manages nearly 4,000 units. Additionally, Louisville Metro Housing Authority s family and senior living sites offer after-school tutoring programs.
