Judith M. Kabat, M.D., is a pediatric hematologist/oncologist with Norton Children’s Cancer Institute, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine. Dr. Kabat earned her medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, Springfield. She completed her pediatric residency training with the University of Louisville School of Medicine at Norton Children’s Hospital, and served as the 2020–2021 Richard S. Wolf Chief Resident and Lecturer for the program. She completed her fellowship in pediatric hematology, oncology and stem cell transplantation at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, affiliated with Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois. During her fellowship, she earned a master’s degree in health services and outcomes research from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Kabat specializes in the care of children with leukemia and lymphoma. She also serves as an assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, with research interests focused on health equity, improving access to care, and using qualitative methodologies to assess and enhance health care delivery.
