Established in 1904, Henderson County Public Library offers more than 112,000 items available for checkout as well as in-house use. Based in Henderson, Ky., the library provides a vast collection of books in a range of different categories, such as fiction, nonfiction and biography large-print books; genre fiction collections; fantasy, mystery, romance, science fiction and western paperbacks; genealogy and local history books; reference books; children's books and reference materials; and teen books. It also has a large collection of audio-visual materials and an array of other specialized books, including telephone books from many U.S. metropolitan areas and Kentucky death certificates on microfilm, among others. In addition, Henderson County Public Library subscribes to several regional and national magazines and journals on a wide variety of topics and interests.
