History
Friends was started by a group of families who wanted their typically developing children to learn alongside their children with special needs in an inclusive program. These families approached the Friends Meeting House of Louisville, and Friends School began. Friends became it's own independent school in 1992, but continues to hold close the basic tenents of the Quaker tradition: non-violence, tolerance, and respect for everyone.
