Domestic Violence Services is one of the programs operated by The Center for Women and Families. The program includes 24-hour crisis counseling, support and referral services for issues concerning domestic violence. It owns and manages an emergency shelter for women and their children. Domestic Violence Services provides assistance with the development of plans for the safety of victims and their families. In addition, the program assists in understanding various legal processes. It also includes teaching sessions for children to improve self-confidence and communication skills. Domestic Violence Services is supported by the Better Business Bureau. The Center for Women and Families is a private, nonprofit agency that serves more than 10 counties in Kentucky and Indiana.
