WireCo World Group first took root in Connecticut in 1931. The company relocated to St. Joseph, Mo., in 1948, in response to a need for a central location to serve the growing markets for wire rope and save freight costs. In only a few years, the company opened additional distribution centers in key markets across the country and expanded its product line. To meet the lifting needs of its customers, the company provides a complete line of lifting products that supports its distribution network throughout the world. Beginning as a fabricated products division that produced wire rope slings, it has since added specialty wire rope assemblies and structural strand pendants to the product line. Today, many companies across the United States are now hiring WireCo World Group to meet their large-scale lifting needs. In recent years, it has provided the structural strand assemblies that support the roof of the largest column-free exhibition hall in America: Bartle Hall in Kansas City, Mo.
