Started in 1953, Topeka Rescue Mission Inc. is a Christian organization, dedicated to help the homeless by providing them with shelter, meals, clothing etc. Located in Topeka Kan., the organization has 24,000 square feet of space, which provides administrative offices, chapel, dining room, and men's shelter. The organization also has Distribution Centers, Hope Center, Thrift Store and a playground. Topeka Rescue Mission Inc. has provided shelter to more than 200 people and served meals to more than 5,00,000 people.

I didn't go inside either of their buildings, which are near the beautiful historic Topeka train staton, and they are in a location where there were quite a few homeless people, some in tents....
