History
Perry L Duncan started in the Coin Op Laundromat business in 1978 when he bought a little self-serve and drop off laundry on N. Waco. Since then, he's purchased and upgraded some 12 laundries in and around Wichita, Ks. In 2003, he'd heard enough from customers that they really wanted more spacious, cleaner, more comfortable laundromats, so with a partner, they converted a small grocery store on S Seneca which became Lost Sock 1. The concept proved very profitable and so a second and third Lost Socks were added for the partner. In 2007, he built the first ground up laundry and implemented a number of efficiency ideas to improve operations and opened Spring Clean Laundromat East at S Webb and Lincoln on 07/07/07. October of 2009 saw the second ground up opening of Spring Clean West at 416 N Ridge Rd, just south of Central. He was right, customers wanted more open spaces, lounge areas, free wifi, carpeting, better maintained equipment, and a place for the kids.
