The Mission Police Department is a state-accredited law enforcement agency that employs sworn officers, volunteers and civilians. It undertakes cases related to sexual offense, domestic violence, theft, fraud, homicide, burglary and drug abuse. The department responds to emergency calls related to accidents and other criminal matters. It also performs duties for cases related to animal control, code enforcement, court service, noise check, and detective and support operations. The department offers various criminal investigation and traffic law enforcement services. In addition, it provides bike patrol, gun registration, crime prevention and emergency readiness services. Located in Mission, Kan., the Mission Police Department undertakes several safety seat inspections and organizes numerous bike helmet programs.
