HistoryOver a decade ago, God led our church to establish a presence in West Lawrence. In 2001, First Church began planning for the construction of a new campus in West Lawrence. In 2004, we purchased the land and began construction on the Celebration Center. The first worship service at the West Campus Celebration Center took place on August 20, 2006. In 2016, the First Church family celebrated 10 years at the West Campus Celebration Center. The West Campus is a beautiful, multi-use building and campus. Today, the building is used seven days a week for activities ranging from church and community gatherings, Bible Studies, Scouting events, youth and adult gatherings and a variety of other activities. The West Campus is also home to the Kids First Preschool & Discovery Days.SpecialtiesServices at the West Campus Celebration Center offer invitational and meaningful worship in a contemporary style that welcomes all ages in an informal setting. The West Campus Praise Band, Children's Time, and Pastor's message encourage connecting with God and others through worship and prepares us to engage with our world.
