Founded in 1972, Hilltop Child Development Center provides child care services and education programs for young children on the campus of the University of Kansas. It offers programs for toddlers, preschoolers and school-age children. The center s school-age program includes arts and crafts making, dramatic play, music classes, table games, science and social studies projects, books reading, puzzles solving and sports activities. It enrolls children with special needs and provides services for these children through Lawrence Public Schools and the Douglas County Infant-Toddler Coordinating Council. Hilltop Child Development Center is licensed by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. It is located in Lawrence, Kan.
