Clinical Reference Laboratory is a privately-held reference laboratory that offers diagnostic testing services in toxicology, corporate wellness, insurance, clinical trials and genomics. These services range from routine laboratory services to molecular diagnostics. Clinical Reference Laboratory was founded in 1979 under the name of Enzyme Technology. In 1983, Enzyme Technology began commercial testing and was renamed Clinical Reference Laboratory. It became one of the first commercial laboratories in the United States to test for HIV. Throughout the past 20 years, the laboratory has implemented a vast array of testing services to meet the increased market demand. Of the nearly 3.5 million samples processed a year, close to 95 percent are completed within 24 hours. Clinical Reference Laboratory s 150,000-square-foot facility is in Lenexa, Kan.
