Located in Sioux City, Iowa, Western Iowa Tech Community College offers a wide range of educational programs and learning opportunities to the students throughout the state. The college provides more than 70 programs ranging from art and design to carpentry, from marketing management to paraeducator preparation. It offers various academic courses, including accounting, architectural technology, art, biology, building, business management and administration, chemistry, civil engineering, cosmetology theory, economics, education, electrical technology, emergency medical services, English, horticulture and legal administration. It also offers marketing, natural science, optician, real estate, religion, respiratory therapy, sociology, Spanish, speech and drama, and welding programs. Western Iowa Tech Community College is approved by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The college operates through its more than 140-acres facility, and has rural campuses in Cherokee and Denison, with additional learning centers in LeMars and Mapleton in the state.
