In 1977, Precision was founded to manufacture conveyor pulleys for the material handling industry. Originally known as Precision Pulley, the company operated in a 6,000-square-foot facility in Knoxville, Iowa. In 1979, Precision moved their operations to Pella, Iowa, with the construction of a new 21,000-square-foot facility. Over the past 18 years, Precision s growth as a manufacturer of conveyor pulleys, belt idlers and other conveyor components have resulted in a total of six manufacturing facilities in the Iowa communities of Pella, Corning and Lenox. In 1988, Precision moved into its new headquarters building in Pella, which houses the administrative, engineering, customer service and support staffs. In addition, Precision operates six warehouses around the United States to serve its customers in a variety of industries
