Pretzelmaker, located inside the College Square Mall, claims to be "the world's best soft prezel." The specialty shop offers all kinds of pretzels, including regular soft pretzels, pretzel dogs and pretzel bites. These are served with a choice of five different dipping sauces. The pretzels come salted or unsalted, or with parmesan, ranch or garlic seasonings and more. There is even an iced cinnamon swirl pretzel. Pretzelmaker shares space with the Great American Cookie and Freshens Smoothies & Yogurt.

Scratch Cupcakery is the little shop where you can satisfy your sweet tooth. The shop carries a great selection of freshly baked cupcakes. Scratch also serves coffee, smoothies, fresh lemonade and 18 flavors of gelato. You can buy just one cupcake or order them by the hundreds. Many Cedar Falls locals order cupcakes for parties and weddings. The shop's flavors include almond cake with vanilla butter cream, Red Velvet and chocolate chip. Indoor and outdoor seating areas and free Wi-Fi are available.
