Northwest Iowa Community College is a public, two-year coeducational institution in Sheldon, Iowa. Established in 1966, the college has an enrollment of more than 1,000 students. It offers associate degrees in accounting, administrative assistant and secretarial science, collision and repair technology, automotive mechanics technology, computer systems networking, and business administration and management. The college also offers certificate courses in welding technology, vocational nurse training, tool and die technology, earthmoving equipment operation, machine shop technology, and administrative assistant and secretarial science. Its online bookstore has a wide range of books on arts, poetry and music, business, children, self-improvement, computers, biography, sports literature, and humor and comedy. The college has a program participation agreement with the Department of Education for eligible students to receive Pell Grants and other federal aid.
