Operational since 1973, Neighborhood Centers of Johnson County (NCJC) is a social service and welfare organization. Based in Iowa City, Iowa, it provides family development and educational services. The center's programs include childhood development programs including preschoolers reaching their educational potential (PREP) and youth development activities, such as recreation, skill building, tutoring, fitness and nutrition, summer day camps and mentoring. Additionally, the center offers programs for family development including adult education, activities, such as family fun nights, cookouts, parenting home visits and community development programs with events and meetings.
