HistoryAfter becoming a mother, I grew more interested in green living but struggled to find alternatives to mainstream, commercial products that were also affordable. Experimenting with making my own soap led to creating a wide variety of home and body care products, made with natural, eco-friendly ingredients. Now, Earth Sister Organics is a business operating out of my home kitchen in Waterloo, Iowa. A diverse range of products, from soaps to laundry detergent, to tinctures to bug repellent, all utilize the traditional properties of natural ingredients for their effectiveness, rather than the synthetic chemicals often found in commercial products. Not only have these chemicals been linked to harmful long-term effects on our bodies, they contribute to environmental degradation as well.
