Midwest Industries is an international manufacturer of ShoreLand'r boats, PWC and utility trailers, ShoreStation boat and PWC hoists and ShoreStation docks. These products are marketed through independent distributors throughout the United States and Canada. In 1954, Midwest Industries founder Byron Godbersen was issued his first patent for the Bolster Hoist, an under-body wagon hoist used to tilt a grain box and empty its contents. The Bolster Hoist was a hit with farmers across America. Headquartered in Ida Grove, Iowa, Midwest Industries is housed in a 340,000-square-foot facility that includes its own advertising, tool and die and research and development departments, along with product testing facilities.
