Keokuk Junction Railway Company, formerly known as KNRECO, is a Class III railroad terminal railroad in the state of Illinois and Iowa. It operates a common carrier railroad line in Iowa and a branch line Hamilton in Illinois with a total of approximately 38 miles. In addition, Keokuk Junction Railway Company owns all of the common stock of Keokuk Union Depot Company, which is an Iowa corporation that owns the former Keokuk Union Depot building along with surrounding track and real estate. The railroad company's principal commodities are corn, meal, gluten feed and railroad wheels. Keokuk Junction Railway Company is a part of Pioneer Railcorp, originally Pioneer Railroad Company, which was incorporated in 1986 to become a publicly held company formed for the purpose of entering the railroad business.
