Located in Sigourney, Iowa, Keokuk County Health Center is a tax-exempt, more than 25-bed critical access hospital. Founded in 1954, it is a nonprofit hospital providing a wide variety of health care services to community. KCHC is operated by a seven-member board of trustees, who are elected for a six-year term. The trustees are responsible for health center operations, including maintenance of buildings and grounds, and control and supervision of staff physicians, nurses and other employees. It offers trauma care services 24-hours, seven-days a week at its emergency room. The center s inpatient care services comprise skilled, acute, long-term, respite, and hospice care.
