The Iowa Secretaries of State provides easy access to election and voter information and election results. It answers more than 56,000 telephone requests for business information. Additionally, the office supervises over 90 county auditors in the administration of election laws and rules. The Iowa Secretaries of State preserves various original documents including the Constitution of the State of Iowa and the Acts of the General Assembly. It maintains a nonprofit center that is a resource of the business services division of the office and is responsible for the registration of all nonprofit corporations. The office also operates a business center that is responsible for filing documents, such as financing statements, trademarks, business entity documents and statutorily required special filings. The Iowa Secretaries of State provides 24-hour access to forms, applications and searchable databases needed by businesses, lending institutions and citizens. It is located in Des Moines, Iowa
