Hog Slat got its start in 1969 as a builder of slats for hog nurseries. Today, the business produces a full range of hog farming equipment and has offices in North Carolina, Mississippi, Kansas, Iowa, Indiana and Colorado along with distributors in Central and South America, Korea, Japan, Canada and Europe. Hog Slat is a family owned business engaged in turnkey construction of confinement type hog units; manufacture and distribution of hog equipment; and production of live hogs. It is one of the largest contractors and manufacturers of hog equipment in the United States. Hog Slat is also one of the recognized leaders in manufacturing precast concrete slats. Its annual manufacturing capacity is 900,000 slats, which will accommodate the expansion of over 600,000 sows.
