During its more than 50 years of operation, Skyline Corporation, through divisions such as Skyline Homes, has built more than 855,000 homes and 440,000 recreational vehicles. Most of its recreational vehicles are travel trailers. Skyline initially produced the affordable housing units popularly known as house trailers or mobile homes. These units evolved into today's manufactured and modular housing. In 1960, Skyline opened its first travel trailer plant. Its sales have totaled in excess of $13 billion. The company s 22 operating divisions located in 11 states, in cities such as Lancaster, Wis., build Skyline s products. Of the 22 divisions, 16 produce housing, under the name of Skyline Homes, and six produce recreational vehicles. Headquartered in Elkhart, Ind., Skyline Corporation was founded in 1951.
