Conductix, formerly known as Insul 8, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Delachaux since 1996, is its mobile electrification arm in North America and South America. It offers a full range of conductor bar, cable reels, cord reels, motor driven reels, slip rings, cable festoons, push button pendants and crane radio controls. Its products find various applications, including overhead and port cranes, amusement rides, production machines, mill and mine machinery and large mass transit systems. Insul 8 was founded in 1944 and was the inventor of the original Figure 8 conductor bar, one of the first insulated conductor systems for the material handling industry. Condutrix also supplies power from stationary sources to mobile systems, as well as cable reels, slip rings, conductor bar, festoon systems, pendants, and radio controls, which are used in a wide variety of applications, ranging from material handling and mass transit systems, to water treatment plants and performing arts theaters.
