Founded in 1969, WTIU is a public television station that operates radio and television centers in Indiana. It serves more than 20 counties in central Indiana. The station provides training services for over 100 students from Indiana University. WTIU broadcasts a variety of programs, including Antiques Roadshow, NOVA, Masterpiece, Mystery! and The American Experience. It also telecasts documentaries and is a member of PBS and Indiana's Public Broadcasting Stations. The station serves children, youths and senior citizens. In addition, WTIU maintains an advisory board that conducts various meetings. It is licensed by Indiana University and operates a kids club.
