Valparaiso Fire Station 3, located on the far West side of Valparaiso in Center Township, is the newest addition to the city's fire department. Opened in 2007, this state-of-the-art firehouse is staffed 24/7 by highly trained Valparaiso firefighters, many of whom are also medically trained as EMTs or paramedics. Equipped with advanced life support capabilities, Engine 3 ensures prompt and efficient emergency response, providing vital care to patients until the arrival of an ambulance.
In 2012, the fire station was dedicated and renamed the Charles W. Conover Fire Station #3, in honor of Chuck's unwavering commitment to the citizens and Fire Department as Center Township Trustee. Situated on 250 West Tower Rd., just north of US Highway 30, this station serves as a crucial hub for fire and medical emergencies in the area, ensuring the safety and well-being of the community it serves.
