I had been asked to create a marketing plan for a very small business and came to realize what a disadvantage it is to be a small, independent business. Whereas a franchise has a marketing team in place and shares the expense of marketing we could create an alliance of small businesses and create those same advantages. A year later we launched a managed marketing services program and are now busy building the Alliance.
